Tokyo Disney Sea - Part 1

So, my friend Samurai has been wanting to take me to Tokyo Disneyland for a long time. We had talked about 6 months ago, and finally, he made true on his promise, taking a day off work. We enjoyed the park on a Thursday, when it wasn't so crowded. As Disneyland is quite different here, I thought readers might enjoy seeing the Japanese version of Mickey and friends.

Tokyo Disneyland is actually divided into two parks -- Disneyland and Disney Sea. We went to Disney Sea for 2 reasons: it's more for adults, and the rides are more thrilling here. It's also possible to drink alcohol in this park; hence the reason it's so popular among adults!

Arriving at the main gate, there is a large globe...

cutenekko is full of happiness!

We walked to the main square next, which was decorated for Halloween:

Disney Sea is divided into 7 lands, all situated around the central "Mediterranean Harbor", which features a large volcano.

We boarded a ship here, and set off in a clockwise pattern to get to the furthest point in the park, Lost River Delta.

A lighthouse -- very pretty!

In this area, I picked up a Fastpass to ride the "Indiana Jones Adventure". While waiting for that ride, I invited Samurai to enjoy a show. In the Hangar Theatre, there is a great show called "Mystic Rhythms" which features dancers, acrobats and lots of water, fire and other pyrotechnics. Although we viewed many shows on this day, Samurai later said it was this show, that was his favorite. ^_^

Check back again tomorrow; I will show more photos and unique stories from Tokyo's Disney Sea! ^_^

Tokyo Disney Sea is open from 09.00 ~ 22.00. A one day passport costs a little over ¥6,000 ($60). Access: Maihama line to Tokyo Disney Resort. There are also many direct buses (which is best -- you can avoid the morning rush hour trains!) See the access train map HERE. Tokyo Disney Resort website is HERE
