Hidden on the 6th floor of the Emporium department store, Thailand Creative and Design Center is a completely free, art exhibition space showcasing works from modern artists.
Here, you can see a permanent exhibition on "What is design?", which features displays of famous designs from around the world. Information is listed in both Thai and English.
Outside, in the lobby of this center, you can find rotating art exhibits. On the day I went (way back in March), I viewed works by a Chinese artist who was living in Germany. Her creations of images based on East and West thinking, were really great. "East Meets West" information.
One great thing about Bangkok -- many of the art galleries here are 100% free for visitors. Happy travels. ^_^
